Meet the Teacher: Julia

Julia is the creative genius behind all the cool art projects we'll be teaching this summer at all of our Mini-Camps.

As an HSE student, Julia always had a love of art.  She was featured at the HSEArt show several times including an installation at Fishers Town Hall, she studied AP Art History in high school, and even designed her yearbook cover one year!

As a college student, Julia is pursuing degrees in both Elementary Education and Art. She has served as an art tutor at her university and just completed a study abroad program in Scotland.

Julia is excited to bring her love for art and all things creative to your kids this summer as a Program Partner with Fishers Parks & Recreation.  To find out more about the fun Art Mini-Camps she has planned, check out our CLASSES page.  Be sure to REGISTER soon before classes fill up!

HSE Teacher Bringing Art Camps to Fishers this Summer

My name is Debbie and I'm a licensed 1st grade teacher at Brooks School Elementary.  This summer my daughter and I have partnered up with Fishers Parks & Recreation to teach fun art classes for kids ages 6-12.

What's different about Art Mini-Camps?

As a teacher in HSE schools for the last 10 years, I hear all the time about parents who are in need of ideas to keep their kids busy during the summer.  What's unique about our mini-camps is that while traditional summer camps run all day every day, our mini-camps run for 3 mornings.  Rather than committing to a whole summer of camps, you get to pick and choose which mini-camps work for you and your family.

Our Art Mini-Camps run from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Cumberland Park recreation building.  So take a break, moms!  Run your errands and grab some coffee while we entertain the kids with cool art projects.

We have four fun Mini-Camps to choose from... from Under the Sea to Outer Space.  All experience levels are welcome!

Leading these classes alongside me will be my daughter.  Julia is a junior studying elementary education and art.  She's the creative genius behind all the art projects your kids will get to create with us.

Fishers Families! Beat Summer Boredom with Fun Art Camps

Keep the kids busy this summer!  Enroll them now in our summer mini camps.

Our mini camps run for three consecutive mornings, 9:00 to noon.  Each mini camp will have a fun theme, such as Under the Sea or Outer Space.  You simply drop them off and let us entertain them with fun art projects for the morning.

Your kids will learn cool art techniques and get to make projects to take home with them.  All experience levels are welcome!  All supplies included.  Let us bring out the inner artist in your kids.

Space is limited.  Check out the Classes tab above for camp dates and themes, then hit the Register tab to get your kids enrolled.

See you at camp!
